📸 Maternity Photo Studio – Client Tips

1. Book Early:
   Schedule your session between 28–34 weeks, when your belly is round but you're still comfortable.

2. Wardrobe Tips:

   • Choose solid colors or flowing fabrics for timeless elegance.

   • Discuss session sizes. Most clients do two to four outfits/looks. These looks can include maternity gowns, lingerie, fine art implied nude or nude looks, draped fabric, jeans & bralette, etc.).

   • Avoid bold and busy patterns and logos - They tend to hide or distract from your bump.

3. Pamper Yourself:

   • Schedule hair and makeup.  We provide optional HMU in-studio or you can have your favorite stylist do it.

   • Stay hydrated and moisturize your belly for that healthy glow.

4. Include Your Partner/Kids:
   Family members are always welcome! Coordinated (not matching) outfits photograph best.

5. Don't Worry About Stretch Marks:
   Professional editing software can soften or remove them from your final prints at your request.

6. Arrive Early and Relaxed:
   A calm start leads to better photos. 

7. Bring Special Items / Props:
   Ultrasound photos, baby shoes, or sentimental heirlooms can personalize your session.

8. Communicate Your Vision:
   Share any inspiration, poses, Pinterest boards or concerns before the shoot.

9. Trust the Process:
   You don’t need to know how to pose— Lenn will guide you every step of the way.

10. Plan for Products:
    Consider how you want to enjoy your images—albums, prints, wall art canvases, and/or digital files.

Q: When is the best time to schedule a maternity session?
A: Each pregnancy is unique, but between 28–34 weeks is ideal for comfort and showing your bump beautifully.

Q: What should I wear?
A: We recommend wearing loose fit clothing to your shoot so you won't get any marks on your belly, but for the session we have both fitted bodysuits or flowing dresses that highlight your belly. We also provide maternity gowns in various styles and sizes! Feel free to schedule a free consultation appointment to come see our selections and even try some on if you like. 

Q: Do you provide hair and makeup?
A: Yes! We offer professional styling or can refer trusted artists we work with regularly. Prices start at $150 and up for HMU. 

Q: Can my partner or other children be in the photos?
A: Absolutely! Maternity sessions can include partners and children.

Q: How long does the session last?
A: Sessions typically last 1 to 2 hours, depending on outfit changes and your comfort.

Q: What if I’m not comfortable in front of the camera?
A: That’s totally okay! Lenn will direct you throughout and he always keep things fun and relaxed. (he's got jokes)

Q: Can I request specific poses or bring props?
A: Definitely! We encourage you to share any ideas or props that are meaningful to you.

Q: What happens after the shoot?
A: You’ll receive a password protected gallery of proofs within a couple days days, and you can select images for retouching, prints, or albums at that point.

Q: Do you offer retouching?
A: Yes. We offer natural retouching to enhance your glow and reduce distractions, including stretch marks or blemishes if desired.

Q: What’s your cancellation or rescheduling policy?
A: We understand pregnancy can be unpredictable. Just give us 24-48 hours notice, and we’ll happily reschedule.
